According to a recent poll conducted by AARP, 79% of respondents indicated they would need to remodel their bathroom in order to remain in their current home. The biggest concern for aging seniors is a "slip and fall" incident while bathing. Additional revelations from the poll indicate, that despite the pandemic, the percentage of those who want to remain home is steady.
The CDC reports falls for adults 65 and older caused over 34,000 deaths in 2019, making it the leading cause of injury death for that group.
