How It Works: From Your First Call to Install Day

No high-pressure sales pitch, ever. You get a written price range by phone, you pick the right walk in tub or shower, and before anything is installed a factory-certified tech comes to your home for a full site visit: measurements, photos, a look at your plumbing and electrical, your upgrade options, and every question answered.

Buying a walk in tub or a roll in shower should not feel like buying a used car. Most families who call us have already sat through a three-hour sales presentation somewhere else, or they are worried they will have to. That is not how we work. But we also do not guess. Every installation we do starts with a real person in your home, measuring the space and checking what is behind the walls and under the floor, before install day.

Here is the whole process, start to finish, so you know exactly what happens and when.

The 6 steps

  1. 1. Call us or send a few photos

Call 1-888-779-2284, use the quote form, or send photos through the virtual estimate. Tell us who will be bathing, how they get around (walking, walker, cane, wheelchair), and roughly what is in the bathroom now. A real person answers, 7 days a week.

  2. 2. Get a written price range

We give you a written price range for the tubs or showers that fit what you told us. No pressure and no three-hour pitch. If a $200 grab bar is the better answer, we will tell you that too.

  3. 3. Pick the right tub or shower

We help you narrow it down: door direction, seat height, size, therapy options, or a roll in shower instead of a tub. You can compare models with the product finder or compare tubs side by side. Once you have chosen the unit, we reserve it for you and set up the site visit.

  4. 4. Your in-home site visit

Before any installation, a factory-certified tech comes to your home. This is not a sales visit. It is a working visit, and it is what keeps install day short and surprise-free. The tech:

    • Measures the tub or shower space, the bathroom, the doorways and the path in from the street, so the unit fits through the house, not just the bathroom.
    • Takes photos of the bathroom, the plumbing and the electrical panel.
    • Checks what is under the tub: crawlspace, basement or concrete slab.
    • Checks the water heater size and distance, and whether a new dedicated circuit is needed for jets or a heated seat.
    • Goes over the system you picked and your upgrade options, like heated seats, air jets, a handheld shower, grab bars and wall panels.
    • Answers every question you and your family have.

If anything is tight, like a narrow door or a soft floor, you hear about it now, not on install day.

  5. 5. Your unit is built and shipped

Many walk in tubs are built to order with the door side, color and options you picked. We schedule install day around delivery and confirm it with you.

  6. 6. Install day, then a walkthrough

Most installs take one day. The crew removes the old tub or shower, sets and levels the new unit, connects the plumbing and electrical, finishes the walls, cleans up and hauls away the old one. Before they leave, they fill and test it with you and show you how everything works. Then your factory warranty starts. Read what install day looks like, hour by hour.

Why we always send a tech first
A walk in tub is about 50 inches long and close to 30 inches wide, and it weighs a lot more once it is full. A good install depends on a level floor, the right drain location, enough hot water and sometimes a new circuit. Measuring in person is how we make sure the tub you chose fits through the front door, sits level, and fills with hot water on day one. It protects you, and it protects the warranty.

What "no high-pressure sales" means here

You will never get a salesperson who refuses to leave until you sign, a "today only" price, or a quote that drops $8,000 when you walk to the door. You get a written number, honest advice about which unit fits, and time to talk it over with your family. The tech who visits your home is there to measure and answer questions, not to close a deal.

Buying supply-only instead?

If you have your own contractor, you can buy the tub or shower supply-only, shipped to your door. Supply-only orders do not need a site visit, but we still help your installer with free technical support and the factory specs, and you keep the same factory warranty when it is installed to the manufacturer's guidelines.

How to get ready for the site visit

  • Clear a path to the bathroom, the water heater and the electrical panel.
  • Have the person who will use the tub or shower there if you can, so the seat height and door side fit them.
  • Write down your questions. Family members on speakerphone are welcome.
  • If you are using a VA HISA grant or other funding, have that paperwork handy.

Ready when you are

Call 1-888-779-2284 or request your price range. If you are still comparing, start with the walk in tub cost guide, the handicap showers page or the walk in tub guide.

Talk to a real person
Call 1-888-779-2284 (7 days, 7am to 8pm MT) or request your price range. No high-pressure sales pitch. Once you pick your unit, a tech visits your home before install day.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to my home before installing a walk in tub or shower?

Yes. Before every installation, a factory-certified tech comes to your home for a full site visit. They measure the space and the doorways, take photos, check the plumbing, the electrical panel, the water heater and what is under the tub, go over the system and upgrade options you picked, and answer your questions.

Is the in-home visit a sales pitch?

No. The site visit is a working visit to measure and plan the installation. You already have a written price range and have picked your unit before the tech comes out. There is no high-pressure sales pitch.

How long does the site visit take?

It depends on the home, but it is a focused visit to measure, photograph and answer questions, not a multi-hour presentation.

What does the tech check during the site visit?

The tub or shower space, bathroom size, door and hallway widths on the path in, the floor and what is underneath it (crawlspace, basement or slab), drain and supply locations, the water heater size and distance, and the electrical panel for any dedicated circuit needed for jets or a heated seat.

How long does installation take?

Most walk in tub and roll in shower installations are completed in one day once the unit arrives.

Do supply-only orders need a site visit?

No. If you buy supply-only and use your own installer, no site visit is needed. We still provide free technical support and the factory specifications to your installer.
